cold remedies - some tricks

How're you all doing? I hope you all are in healthy condition...
Lately I find a lot of my friends getting flu/cold. Yeah, the unpredicted weather, the business (over)load in the first month of this new year, can give us imbalance in our health status. That's why it is important to keep ourselves healthy by strengthening our immune system. But, don't worry for you who already had infected with flu/cold, here I will share some easy tips to overcome those problems.

1. Drink plenty of fluids, to prevent the dehydration. And sure you can go for warm or hot ones, because it can help break your congestion. (Hot tea can sometimes also reduce the tickle in your throat)
2. While you're drinking hot stuffs, you can inhale the steam to ease the congestion and drippy nose.
3. Blow your nose often, in right way. But just don't do it too hard, because you will either break the tiny blood vessels inside your nose or the phlegm will pass back into your ear, causing earache.
4. Get rest. Yes! It's important to get rest. It's just like focusing the energy inside your body to win the 'immune battle'.
5. Gargle with warm salt water, it can moist the sore throat and bring temporary relief.
6. Sleep with extra pillow under your head to help you relieve the congested nasal passage.
7. Consume natural remedies containing zinc, vitamin C (you can go for multivitamin also for sure), echinacea. It helps, trust me.

So, that's all for now. Some simple steps and tricks to help you manage your cold.
