As we all know, vitamin C is very good for our health. A recent study published in Seminars in Preventive and Alternative Medicine that looked at over 100 studies over 10 years revealed a growing list of benefits of vitamin C.
Vitamin C is giving lots of benefits, such as: skin health, immune system, cardiovascular health, and so many other things.

When it then comes to the amount of vitamin C that is needed to be consumed daily, some experts believe that the RDA number is not enough. They - including myself - will recommend minimal dose of 500 mg vitamin C daily. There's no need to be worried, the dose is safe, since the exceeded vitamin C will be excreted. Vitamin C is water-soluble, and it can easily be absorbed both in food and pill form, and also if you have it by injection.

Vitamin C is one well-known antioxidants that can protect against damage caused by free radicals. We live in a world full of pollution, and we surely will need protective factor such as vitamin C to maintain our holistic health. For the skin, it can prevent aging process and prevent wrinkle, and also vitamin C is needed in collagen formation. Our immune system are guaranteed by enough amount of vitamin C.

The foods richest in vitamin C are citrus fruits, green peppers, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, white potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Other good sources include dark leafy greens, cantaloupe, papaya, mango, watermelon, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, red peppers, raspberries, blueberries, winter squash, and pineapples.

So, as a conclusion, vitamin C brings a series of benefits for our health, and unless the acidity that can affect someone's stomach, vitamin C has no other negative side effects.

"Stay healthy always.."
